TECHNICAL AUDIT AND CAT LADDER REPLACEMENT

A potential new client contacted us to ask us for a quotation to perform a technical audit on some pre-existing ladders in their newly acquired facilities.

After carrying out an inspection and technical report and detecting multiple deficiencies in regulatory compliance, with the consequent risk for the regular users of these stairs, an economic assessment was carried out to compare repair vs. replacement.

In this case it was more economical to carry out a complete replacement of the staircase.
In this intervention multiple dimensional defects and technical deficiencies were solved, such as:

• The height between steps.
• The absence of an interior landing ladder.
• The absence of a safe passage for disembarkation.
• The risk of lateral fall at the bottom of the ladder.
• The provision of a restricted access door.
• The installation of an outdoor retractable pole with recovery rope.
